Small Straw, Big Comfort: Drinking Straw Donation Drive for Bedridden Patients

Staff of Akagane (Thailand) Co., Ltd. joined together to collect plastic drinking straws for donation to the Ban Phai Community Waste Management Learning Center in Rayong Province. The straws are processed into pillow stuffing, which is then delivered to bedridden patients at hospitals and to underserved communities in need of assistance across various areas.

From 13 May 2026 to 20 July 2026, staff collected leftover and used straws, washed them thoroughly, and gathered them for delivery to the Ban Phai Community Waste Management Learning Center on 27 July 2026.

This marks the second CSR activity held under the vision of our Managing Director, Mr. Nobuhiro Ozawa — passing on value and creating benefits for society in pursuit of sustainable development, while also helping reduce plastic waste released into the environment. The activity received excellent cooperation from staff across every part of the company.
